The Band

in late 2011 under the project name 'Death of Kings' we came together after the desolutions of the various local bands we played in. as we began to rehearse and write music, the project name didnt reflect the sound. at this point the name was changed. the name that stuck and fitted in perfect harmony with the sound, and the name we use to this day. we became A Higher demise.

we draw our musical influences from all over the musical spectrum, everything from august burns red to backstreet boys. this blend allows us to tap into different genres within metal.

we strive to make our live shows the best that we can ever make it. we thrive on the energy of the crowd and passion ofthe local scene.

Musical Ambitions – just to play as many shows as possible and hopefully entertain everyone in the audience! I enjoy playing live in different venues no matter the size of the crowd, so I'll take any chance I can get!

Short musical life story –well, it all stared when the Scott Pilgrim film came out. I loved it and afterwards decided to buy a bass. I then joined a band at uni and played for a couple of years with them. That band ended up stopping, so my boyfriend set up another bad with me and one of his friends, just as a bit of a fun project - which is still going on now. I used to work with Terry at the cinema and he said his band was looking for a new bassist if I wanted to come along for a practise. I went along and really enjoyed what they were doing, but thought I'd play hard to get and leave them hanging for a while before becoming an official member!

Short musical life story – Way back when in my first ever band. I was meant to be the Front man and a mate at the time was meant to be the drummer. Come home from school to randomly find a drum kit! So we switched roles. And that’s how I started drumming.  Must have been some sort of fate as my idol at the time was actually Jimmy ‘The Rev’ Sullivan.
